What makes people tick.

Psychology.
7 years back,I decided that what I want to do is read people's mind.Understand them.Predict what they will say.Make them believe contrary to "negative" thoughts. The subject? Psychology.
Over the years, friends and other well-wishers tried to deter me,put me on the path of law, medicine, engineering and everything else under the spectrum. But not many supported me with the idea of psychology.
Somehow, I think, the common man is just afraid of being discovered.Sigmund Freud went on and on about suppressed feelings, memories and experiences.Maybe he was right. This is probably just that.

"A man should not strive to eliminate his complexes but to get into accord with them: they are legitimately what directs his conduct in the world."

Over the years,I would instinctively catch hold of passing information on handwriting analysis, neurosis, body language and the likes. Two years back, I opted for Psychology as one of my subjects.I didn't regret it.
The first and foremost thing I learnt : Psychology is the relationship of S-O-R.An Organism's Response to a Stimulus.Through the last two rather tumultuous years ( it being the great teenage period, after all) I tried applying this. And I finally understand what makes people who they are.Its a reason. There's ALWAYS a reason. There's something that makes them nice.Or mean.Or moody.Or neurotic.Compulsive,idiotic,lovable.There's a reason to it.

Sadly enough,we don't understand that.If someone is angry at us,we fight back.Build a wall.Retort.It's not merely about self-preservation and ego.If someone's down and out,we try helping them. But do we indeed? In the right way at that?

Many people have jokingly said that they'd be my first clients were I to become a counselor/therapist.
It scares me the way some people hide themselves.Their true individual, unique selves. And I am no exception. That's something I can say to : "Been there, done that."Then again,it's not something I'm proud of.Neither is it something I regret. It just is.

Perhaps the best way to describe us homo sapiens is the verb "be." Was.Am.Will be.
We're complex.But we're just layers of simplicity.

Bridging the distance between black and white.

"And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be."

"No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind"
